This week the advanced group had an assignment to use very specific scenes and created a short film with them. I first planned out my film with my story board which is shown above. I decided through the process that I wanted to make a scarier film. However, I wish that I did not. I wish I was more creative with my film because after working with others in the group, a few people decided to do relatively similar pieces. In my storyboard I stayed on track for the most part about what I originally wanted my film to be. However, I had to switch a few scenes. I had to switch the lamp clip to the end where it turns off to create a closing for my film instead of having two clips of lights in a row. Then I added the note being written on the desk to the note being put on the dead body. I really enjoyed making the story board because you can make it whatever you want and in my case, change it whenever you need to. 

    On my film I tried to keep it with simple shots. I did basic shots from below on the ground to give perspective of feet walking toward something. For the most part I just tried to do straight on centered or broken into third shots. My favorite shot from the video is because of the angle. It is when the shooter (Ashley Heaton)  is about to shoot the innocent person at their desk (Kerriann Campbell). I filmed it over the shoulder of the shooter of her holding up the gun along with the victim in the background as well. I like this shot a lot because it shows the most important part of the scene, the gun. 

    I really enjoyed working with the other students in the class. I though it was really fun to make a quick film in one class. We all helped each other with different shots. I got to act in one of the other student videos which is easing me into getting more comfortable in front of the camera. I want to push myself this year to step up and be someone who wants to be acting in films, aside from the one who edits the films!
