Family Foliage

This week during cinema I directed an interview along side with Ashley Heaton, Grace Sherwood, and Celsey McMahon. We interviewed myself and Ray Chen on what owning and living at your family run hotel is like during fall foliage season. We wanted to compare the life for someones who's hotel is in Manchester (The Olympia Lodge) and someone who's was outside of Manchester (Inn at Westview Farm).

Being interviewed was not as stressful for me in the past this time as all of the other times have been. I was prepared with what the other girls were going to ask me so it was not just unthoughtful answers. We interviewed me at my hotel in Manchester. The first time we went to the Olympia we forgot light batteries which interfered with our timing. We ended up going back to the Olympia two days later to re-film. One thing that I thought we could have done better was the sounds specifically on my video. This is because it is quieter than Ray's interview which sounds sloppy and uneven.

During Ray's interview we went into Dorset at the Inn at Westview Farm and filmed him. The first interview we did went awesome until we got back to school...the group forgot to take the SD card out of the camera and our footage was lost. We went back the next day to re-film Ray's video. We did the video in the same spot. However, looking closer at the video I should have mentioned to the other girls to zoom onto Ray's face to make sure it was completely in focus because it was just slightly out of focus.

When we filmed Celsey doing the intro to our interview's we filmed her right outside of the Smith Center because of the rain. She had a fake mic and wire to make it look more real. Celsey has an idea to put a clip from family guy in the beginning before her intro to show crazy leaf peepers which I think is a very good connection to out piece.
