Where Sarah Lives:

Sarah was born and is still living in Manchester, Vermont. Sarah is currently 16 years old and attends BBA, as a junior in Manchester.

Cinema:

Sarah has been involved with cinema since she was about 13 years old. She used to make films about swimming, funny sketches, and video compilations. She first realized her love for cinema when she joined Bill Muench's Cinema Camp in 8th grade. There she created her first film with a cannon camera which was a horror film, along with other students in the camp.

Gawlik Award:

Sarah took her first cinema class at BBA her second semester sophomore year and ended up winning her first Gawlik Award with her friend Johnny Miceli. They collaborated in making a new/documentary on a local protester for world peace.

Sports:

Other than cinema, Sarah has been very involved with sports throughout her life. She has been swimming with the Manchester Triton's since she was 6 years old. She recently became captain of the team the summer of her Junior year.

Sarah has swam all year since she was 8 years old. She is currently training with the Bennington Maurders, and previously trained with Purple Valley Aquatics at Willam's College.  Aside from swimming Sarah is also involved with BBA's varsity tennis program. She plays the 3rd singles player. She has been playing tennis since she was little with her dad and during her freshman year she decided to get back into it and try out for the team. Sarah's last sport is basketball. She has played basketball ever since she was a little kid. She played post for awhile and she was good up until everyone started growing after her and she became the shortest on the team! Yet, she still enjoys playing during the spring with her AAU basketball team.

Hobbies:

Traveling:

Sarah has been to the Caribbean a few times and fell in love with the beaches there. Her favorite island is St. Maarten. She recently went to Puerto Rico for the first time and loved the Spanish culture there. Others places Sarah is dying to go to are : Italy, Spain, Ecuador, and Australia.

Bigger Trips:

In February 2018, Sarah went to Guatemala for the first time for a service trip. She helped provide beds for very poor communities. She worked with children there and learned more about the Spanish culture. She says that this was the best experience of her life! Sarah might have the opportunity to go back to Guatemala February 2019 with a few of her friends again. This trip sparked a Spanish interest with Sarah. She now is interested in taking a few months off from school after she graduates to travel Latin America to become proficient in Spanish.
